Career opportunities galore, but not a place where tech talent is valued
Pros
I learned a ton, especially on soft skills You learn to stand on your own There are a ton of opportunities to get certified in tech You can be a lead or management relatively fast
Cons
* High pressure environment, expect to be caught in games between clients and have to meet unrealistic demands * Salary started low and raises were a joke * I could be sold to a client in any role, with little regard for whether I could or wanted to * No one in France actually understands what Atos NL is doing or how the Dutch market operates. * We went from ~10k employees in NL to about 2k over the past 10 years or so * Managers acknowledged concerns, but ultimately they couldn't give out raises due to France limiting the budgets * No more senior DS or engineers for me to learn much from because they've either walked out or have been promoted away from technical positions
