Nice People, Terrible Company

Pros

The benefits like exercise equipment reimbursement are great.

Cons

This company has the same strategy as cancer, growth for the sake of growth. They’ll buy multiple companies in a year but won’t promote or give raises to employees who do the work of 3. Instead, they’ll hire multiple levels of managers who don’t have any experience in the industry, who make overworked employees do even more reporting so the new clueless managers can justify their paychecks by calling pointless meetings to review reports they don’t understand. Turnover is high in some departments. Management at the top is awful and completely disconnected from the average employee. Furthermore, they have only gotten worse with respect to DEI. All empty promises. They recruit at fewer HBCUs than they used to and the DEI initiatives are purely for marketing.

Thanks for leaving a review; we respect and appreciate all of the advice. I will write to the leadership and see what changes might be able to be made. We are working on an Intranet system for employees to get answers and really find answers to questions, and that should be completed in the first quarter. With a lot of growth comes a lot of opportunities and some speed bumps as well. Thanks again

Aggressive growth, incompetent leadership

Pros

The pay is fairly competitive, that's one of the only good things about this company.

Cons

They have an extremely aggressive growth strategy without the competence to execute it. The majority of what Atwell upper management told the employees when our firm was acquired was a lie. Your life revolves around time sheets, utilization rates, meetings, etc. They have lots of top down policies and procedures that make it difficult to bring in work. Maybe that works for them in other markets, but makes them unable to compete in this market. Legal and accounting actively work against the project managers. They bragged about their 95% retention rate and then laid off 20% of the staff within 6 months. They give lots of lip service to their culture, but the truth is that there is no company culture. They promised raises to certain staff that never came through. Horrible company.

I am sorry for your experience with Atwell clearly, our firms merged, and the process didn't go well for you, and all I can do is apologize. I believe our very well-thought-out growth strategy is being executed quickly, and as I just mentioned in another response, with growth comes a lot of opportunity and some speed bumps. I wish you the very best and again thanks for leaving feedback and I am sorry
