Pros

Great people who are knowledgeable and skilled at their job. Nice office with good perks onsite such as stocked kitchens, a gym, and free parking.

Cons

Lay offs. Lots of them. People are here one day and gone the next. So many changes in ELT . Auctane is on another round of searching for ELT members. As a result, things are dysfunctional. Things that need to get done are not getting done. Customers are leaving as a result. Rumor mill is that they are getting ready to sell the company and are making things look good on paper before they do so. Shame to lose so many talented folks, many of which new the systems and processes well. Management interviews you and scrutinizes your background, education and experience. Then they hire you and tell you what to do without deviation. Problems continue and nothing gets done.

Pros

- reasonable comp in Spain, but it's starting to lag behind - remote work (in Spain only)

Cons

- terrible C level management. They're totally out of touch with the rest of the company. - The CEO makes jokes or insentitive comments at the same time they're announcing layoffs of hundreds of employees at the all hands meetings. - CTO is nowhere to be seen while we're having terrible technical problems caused by them. Rude too. Organizes an AMA and refuses to answer a bunch of questions and says "he owes himself to the shareholders and nobody else". His only guide is "automate everything with AI". - layoffs every six months - company guided by private equity trying to squeeze the company to sell it quickly, but destroying the future of the company meanwhile - more and more unpaid extra work each time they fire people, haven't left the office on time for three weeks. - they're not honoring the "options" (they're not options, just funny money, but they pinky-promised it) they promised us. They said we'll be keeping them even if we left the company or were laid off (if it was in good terms). Nobody has kept them. - no, they're not laying off because they're losing money, it's because they probably bought the company for too much money and now they can't sell it.

Disappointing Trajectory - Hope Auctane gets back on track

Pros

There are truly a lot of wonderful people working at Auctane in every team. It's still a good place to work but right now we're in a major slump.

Cons

- New CPO launches personal attacks on her direct reports or sometimes others in large meetings and is jarring to witness - Palpable friction between CPO and other C levels, sure its entertaining but also just a disappointing reminder that we used to have a much better executive team that seemed to truly care about the business, customers, and employees. -CTO often does not add value or even know what he is talking about - Too many meetings that are completely unnecessary and forced. It's actually absurd. We need to wipe the slate clean like we used to. - Lay offs or restructuring every 6 months is par for the course here these days
