- The removed WfH after one of our most productive years ever as well as most other perks. We used to be a really cool company! Unlimited PTO (that is not being monitored and less unlimited), in office expectations, no alternative after our company stock was bought out, removal of reward perks for a job well done (staff could earn things like gift cards). The insurance isn't amazing either. You can tell their benefits package is unimpressive because they have removed it from a lot of job postings, where it used to be bright and shiny. NOTHING competitive here that is keeping this company above the rest anymore. - Senior leadership is sleazy and the new private equity company burned all of the good will the company once had when it was public. Thoma Bravo bought us out, and of course, it was a huge lie when they said they wouldn't mess with success. After destroying our benefits, they started firing a lot of amazing managers and pushing away product experts who really helped define the company. Many of us (myself included) were loyal employees of 5+ years who really believed in this product and were ready to stay here forever. Now it looks like they are finally doing mass layoffs, a lot of my favorite people are now gone from this company. - Aggressive refusal to reward good work with compensation, pays under the industry standard. My manager's higher ups questioned whether I deserved a raise despite making game-changing decisions at the company and doing great work. I was an above and beyond employee that finally left after I was rejected for over a year to simply bring me up to industry standard pay. I left Auctane and now make 40% more than I did working there. - Micromanaging. The support team and anyone customer facing is routinely abused and worked to death. It used to be an amazing job and everyone was like family. It was a place you could move up in the company. Ive heard that about a year after I moved up they basically stopped promoting from below, which tracks with the fact that most support folks I saw were only lasting a year or less. Back when I was in support people would stay and be rockstars, or be promoted and make game changing differences for the company.
