Pros

Work remotely. Great work environment.

Cons

Hours have dropped tremendously in the past year. Can no longer survive off of the pay. Other opportunities offered to those who talk to or "hang out" with the managers.

Pros

The money. But money doesn’t buy smart people’s loyalty these days.

Cons

Clicks, scheming co-workers, outdated systems and operations - will sucker you in with compensation, until you get there and quickly want to kick yourself for leaving your former job! No transparency and they’re not even smart enough to manage inconspicuous lies. Some of the dumbest, non-creative people, overpaid people work here. Not worth your time if you’re serious about your career!

Pros

Auction.com has been one of the best companies I've worked for. Everyone in the marketing department has been some of the nicest, most supportive people I've ever worked with. The open-office environment allows for easy communication and effective collaboration with all team members. Everyone is easy to get along with and super talented which means you're constantly learning new things. Great atmosphere, awesome perks, and snacks for days!

Cons

Communication with other departments and folks in other offices is a challenge due to time zone differences and busy schedules but this can very easily be managed. As someone coming from outside the industry the business model was somewhat hard to grasp and that's because there is a lot going on. My advice for a newcomer would be to always ask a lot of questions. It's a big company but it's important to familiarize yourself with how the different programs work and how each department contributes.
