- Nice coworkers - Interesting product - Passionate user base - Inspiring founder - Company is socially conscious and truly aims to make the world a better place

Cons

- Deep product management expertise is missing at the leadership level. - There has been very little strategy or vision for years. - Despite desire to work in an outcome-focused way, roadmaps are driven by feature ideas from leaders, rather than empowering teams to solve and iterate. - Painful, waterfall-like quarterly planning. - Over-indexation on document writing and product specs. - Tenure is rewarded over performance.

Managers are terrible

- office is well decorated and the free food is good - amenities offered are great

Cons

- terrible upper management - heavy virtue signaling, fake kindness is rampant. Managers speaking poorly of other managers and employees openly is very common. - upper management is “untouchable” and untrustworthy, beware of sweet words and always get things in writing. - beware of what you share with managers - unwelcoming, a lot of managers and employees alike will speak their native language in meetings and in the office, often leaving non speakers in the dark and needing clarification. Was able to work around this for the most part, but at times felt like i didn’t belong.

Amazon RSUs/comp is pretty good Amazon tech is great to work with Free lunch every day (and breakfast on Mondays)

Cons

So many politics, especially in CIO (product, tech, UX) org Never launching anything while management infights Doublespeak from VPs and SVPs (do as I say, not as I do) Waterfall development (we call it "Scaled Agile" lol)
