Pros

Free lunch + great culture. Strong engineers get to shine. I've never been told my opinion doesn't matter and I'm never afraid to speak up. Great opportunity for growth. Work/Life balance.

Cons

Mix of talented and not-so-talented engineers (not referring to new vs experienced). Some teams are more fun and free than other teams.

Pros

Audible.com is a good place to work - the community is solid, there are free lunches, and nice office space. The product (Audiobooks) is excellent, management is attentive, and the parent company (Amazon.com) is respectful of the company's independence. There is both the feel of working for a small to mid-sized company, while having the clout of a major player (Amazon.com)

Cons

Newark is not the best city, but there is a bit of a renaissance going on. The opportunities for advancement are limited (though there are a lot of programs for further education).
