Pros

Strong focus on research, teaching innovation and excellence, and community involvement. Many supervisors in the University have a strong desire to improve current operations and programs and be innovative. The new president is working hard to solidify the brand and bring consistency and harmony to unite the campuses. Many departments are striving to contribute to and take advantage of the knowledge in their corresponding discipline areas in the community, inviting guest speakers into their classroom and providing rich internship opportunities for students, as well as events that join academia and the professional community.

Cons

Massive change with the consolidation of MCG and GRU years ago is still affecting the school. Administration has a large task in front of them, uniting a hospital and a traditional college. A few departments need more efficient processes internally and additional channels of communication externally, because they affect other departments. Parking seems to be a big problem, especially on the Health Sciences campus.

Pros

Great benefits, work -life balance, get to learn a lot from most of the departments on campus, get to work on some ground breaking research

Cons

position has high turn-over; Low salary-position requires bachelors degree and prefers master level education but salary does not reflect that; a lot of red-tape in research; low salary for the amount of work that needs to be accomplished
