Excellent physiology and cardiovascular research group. Good collaborations and good research.

Cons

Consolidation has decreased "recognition" of the University. Will take a few years to build.

For the area the pay is good, but you top out very fast. Large corporation

Very political, hiring is based on "who you know", hard to move up within department, unequal treatment of lower level employees, awful communication

I have nothing nice to say about this place. It is terrible in all respects.

Cons

Town smells like fecal matter... Probably because of the large open-pit sewage processing plant in downtown Augusta (to the South). Watch out for that northward wind.
