      No Support, Special Education Leadership is Toxic

      The Kids are great! Some coworkers are supportive

      Cons

      Unrealistic workload, I had to support, plan and deliver curriculum for students in 5 grade levels for all subjects. Because of student behaviors I did not recieve my legally required breaks or lunches. Behavior specialists and Special Education leadership will do everything they can to say you don’t need help if you ask for it. They are there to cover the districts A** not help you

      toxic leadership more interested in promoting and creating high level positions for friends at headquarters instead of investing in campuses and vital positions for actual improvement of student outcomes

      Pros

      Flexible work. You pick up assignments that work with your schedule. Sometimes on special occasions such as Thanksgiving, the school might provide you food.

      Cons

      You may have to deal with student misbehavior as a substitute. Sometimes you are asked to cover for a different teacher and class than you signed up for.
