Pros

Benefits reasonably good, some excellent professional development resources available, many outstanding individuals working very devotedly.

Cons

Clerical tasks ever burgeoning to the detriment of vast and diverse human needs. Experience undervalued and many veterans in schools as well as district office have departed. Many decent people stressed out and at their worst owing to impossible workloads.

Pros

Lots of resources available, great co-workers, outlined curriculum guides, great training opportunities

Cons

administration does not value their talent, experienced and successful teachers are often pushed aside for first year teachers because they get paid less.

Pros

It was a great learning experience. Working with great teachers and learning classroom management skills and working with students. Helping out students has its rewards. Being able to monitor teachers working in the classroom had some really valuable experience if you plan to be a teacher.

Cons

Scheduled hours were broken up with a large gap in the middle. Some students were difficult to manage. There were times when I didn't have a space to tutor students which did create conflicts.
