Pros
Has your average benefits that most jobs have. Typical 8-430 shifts, for most positions. 37.5 hours work week. The cons, by far, out weigh the pros
Cons
Micro managing has become a huge problem at this company over the last few years. This company is known for the good ol' boys club. Most supervisors are terrible, uneducated, and will share your personal information that should be confidential. Promotion is based on who you know, not how hard you work. They want puppets, not supervisors. They preach core values that they do not live up to (consistency is a joke). Several good employees have left the company because they are tired of fight a losing battle, trying to live up to the core values. If they want you out, they will keep pushing until you leave. I've seen this happen to countless employees. They prey on fresh college students because they are naive. The credit union you can become part of seems to always be down at the most inconvenient times and cut you off of your own money. The CU is ONLY open 830-4, so if you need them, better plan to go on lunch, and there's a line. The busy traffic times (to work, lunch, after work) are horrible. Plan an extra 5-10 minutes just to leave the parking area. Several employees in my department worry if they take too long of a bathroom or water break, that they will get in trouble. You will be packed into very small cubicles. There is very little training and they expect you to know things that aren't taught, even if you request to be taught. The pay is very low to average. People that have left my department are now making $15,000 more to start. Home office is very stuffy and formal, branches are a little more laid back, but not much. Very tough to move to departments you want. The systems and technology is extremely behind the times and constantly have issues. Learn the words "I'm sorry" because you will continuously be saying it to clients if you work for this company. None of the lines are consistent so you will have to learn each separately. There is absolutely no communication throughout the company. My only regret is staying with the company for over ten years and not attempting to run sooner when some of my coworker did.
