Pros

The people you work with

Cons

Lower pay for the job. Went from a fantastic WFH program to enforcing 2 days in the office per week. Many people took the job because of the WFH and live 45+ mins away. This change places a sigficant financial burden on employees.

Lying & out of touch executives

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

The pension and people you work with.

Cons

COVID forced the company to implement a work from home program. When we finally went back to “normal” after several successful years, certain divisions of the company were forced into hybrid work while IT was allowed to stay fully remote. That was their first mistake. Either everyone should have been allowed to stay remote or everyone should have been hybrid. Last year there was concern that the work from home would be taken away and we were assured by executives and upper management that was not the case. After a year of lulling employees into a false sense of confidence, the rug was ripped out from under us and a return to 2 days/week in office is being forced on all. Would this change have gone over well? Probably not, but the fact that executives had no problem deceiving and lying to an entire division for a full year is what really marks A-O as a place you do NOT want to work. Who knows what executives will decide next? Is this the beginning of a return to full time in office work? Obviously nothing they say can be trusted, they might as well be politicians for all the fake smiles and lip service covering up their true intentions. Pay is low like everyone else mentions. Raises for promotions are laughable.
