      Pros

      1. You complete meaningful work from day 1. Within a few months of starting you'll be up to speed and a fully contributing team member 2. Management is receptive and listens to ideas and proposals. You have a lot of visibility as an analyst & management respects your judgements. 3. Fully funded pension, minimal out-of-pocket costs for healthcare, discounts on personal lines insurance. 4. The people are great, always willing to help out & answer questions 5. VERY stable company, situated well financially.

      Cons

      1. The company does not value tenure. Compensation is fairly level and flat regardless of tenure with exams being the only real differentiation. Promotional raises are minimal. 2. The exam program is robust but lacks behind other large companies in terms of hours and bonuses. Raises seem to be in line with the industry. 3. The competitiveness of salary depends heavily on a non-guaranteed profit sharing bonus.
