      Good place to work depending on the position

      Pros

      Great hours, decent pay out of college, bonus after 1st year of employment, Pension upon retirement, good culture.

      Cons

      Work load is exhausting, you are never caught up and always behind. You have to be a quick learner as the training is hardly anything, very 'sink or swim'.

      Pros

      Stability is really the only good (maybe not so good) attribute of this company.

      Cons

      Skills learned are not transferable to other industries. Average to below average pay. Promotion opportunities are typically only available if you want to move to another branch (out of state) or home office in Lansing Michigan. The company culture is awkward at best. Management regularly does not support underwriting decisions which devalues your work. The job is very repetitious and lacks any variety.

      Pros

      The people are friendly and there is a great corporate culture. There is a year-end bonus of 1% for every year of service up to 10%. You have a chance at a profit sharing bonus.

      Cons

      Low salary, even for an area that doesn't have a very high cost of living. No "work from home" option. No "flex time" option (so you are at work 8.5 hours a day despite their claimed 7.5 hour workday). No employee fridges for lunches.
