Dysfunctional Workplace - Don't Be Deceived

Pros

Minimal micromanagement Flexible work environment The entry-level pay rate is fair and aligns with industry standards

Cons

Inadequate leadership struggles to address critical business realities effectively and often overlooks issues that are brought to their attention. Unprofessional conduct, including nepotism, was witnessed among some managers and directors, which impacted team dynamics. Team members often lack sufficient training and access to the tools and resources necessary to perform their duties effectively. The company relies on outdated and inadequate software, leading to inefficiencies, frequent technical issues, and unnecessary workflow disruptions. Commitments to improvement or action are frequently made but rarely result in concrete outcomes. Important updates and changes (including employee departures) are often not communicated. The organization faces high turnover, driven largely by recurring layoffs, which undermines stability and weakens team cohesion. Employees often face unclear objectives and lack clarity around bonus structures or performance incentives.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. I'm sorry you did not have a better experience working at AutoVitals, or during your ~recent exit process. A change of employment is always hard and we try to be sensitive to that fact; I apologize if that was not your experience. For clarification, AutoVitals employee turnover is below market average for technology companies our size, and significantly below market average when you factor in that most of our turnover is decided by the company. Regarding internal software and processes, we've invested a lot of time and resources upgrading those in recent years; that said, we no doubt still have opportunities for continued improvement in that area. Your note will provide us extra motivation to do that. As you can tell from other Glassdoor feedback, not all employee experiences are the same. I'm disappointed this was not a good fit for you, and I genuinely hope you find a better fit at your next company! ~ Jon Belmonte, CEO

Good feedback. While I'm proud of the high number of internal promotions we've achieved in recent years, there is more work for us to do on that front. Thanks for your insights... ~ Jon Belmonte, CEO

Pros

- They do a great job on the internal development of employees and I have always had a clear path to promotion or salary increases - You will be rewarded and appreciated for high quality work - Work is engaging and collaborative - Fair managers that put people first - Lots of people have been with the company for 5+ years

Cons

Not necessarily a con, but it can be a high-pressure environment as everyone in the business is working hard to reach our goals. But if you are diligent and effective, this won't be an issue for you!
