Pros

Good benefits: employee discounts, medical, dental, life, stock options, etc. Small workplace: most stores pack all the products into a manageable area, so everything is easy to get to and stock. Also, it's relatively easy to be manage staff as they're a holler away. Diverse work days: most days are a combination of parts sales/customer service, stocking, delivering parts, working a register, and cleaning. Auto knowledge: You learn a lot about vehicle maintenance and components if you don't already. This will roll over into your personal life as you're more aware of common vehicle diagnostics. If you aim to learn a lot more about cars and competing brands, this is a good gig. Flexible time: they are usually good at working with your schedule if you let them know things in advance, like days off needed or scheduling changes. Basket sales tools: they really set you up for success as a sales person through their company system. There are lots of checkpoints to make sure the customer is getting the components they need for the job and are being taken care of. They even stock basket add-ons where it's easy to remember the upsell.

Cons

Pay: for a job that requires you to cover almost every aspect of retailing, it sure could use better compensation. Considering that you're not just in one place and doing one job for your shift, I think wages could be more competitive.

Pros

Easy Job, not a lot of hard labor or specialized skills involved. Will work with you if you have a demanding schedule due to school or personal life issues.

Cons

Incompetent management, lack of communication between upper management and store level, unwilling to promote from within.
