Pros

Flexible hours for part timers The company isn't going out of business anytime soon 20% discount for employees for store stock items

Cons

-The amount of paperwork for a store manager is obscene -Company wants you to work 50 hours a week but 30+ is management tasks, therefore you don't have time to grow the business. -It is like pulling teeth to get any sort of recognition -Upper management tells you to do one thing then changes their mind regularly. -You need a really high volume store to be qualify to have an assistant manager. -Constant threat of job loss -They want employees to change batteries bulbs and wipers but provide no training on it.. -Training modules that are meaningless to veterans of the store that take up a lot of time on an already tight schedule -They only want to hire part time to save on benefits. -Points system for tardiness and absences that is horrible...(up until a few months ago you would get points even if you were hospitalized) - At the end of each quarter the drasticly cut hours and spending to make stocks appear higher, but screws employees at a store level. - "DRESS CODE" (which is an AutoZone uniform) that they don't participate in paying for at all -No overtime available at all.. If you end up with it, you get yelled at. -Store managers don't have any power to hire/fire/or do anything that is diverse from what autzozone says

Pros

Salary is not bad compared to competition you want to be a store manager or higher anything less does not pay well. 401k plan is okay as well good match but need to complete a year.

Cons

Poor medical plan only provided minimal discount but senior management tried to sell it as a good deal. You did not have control over your teams everything was dictated by payroll hours and keeping them to a minimum was key. 50 hour work week for managers with no need to much time to get the job done but the hours were because you were short staffed and had to do a lot of the hands on work yourself.
