Pros

Training program on basic automatics was pretty good.

Cons

AutoZone prides itself with always having items in stock despite being higher priced than compensation. They did not have motor mounts in stock for my car and all other companies,I'd O'Reilly's, Napa, etc not only had items in stock they only charged $52. AutoZone wanted $112. Even with employee discount I was being robbed. You are trained to talk customers into buying more pricier items- low mid high always seeking the higher yet employees do not receive any commissions only straight hourly minimum wage. Yet at the hub stores during construction all the temp employees were paid $3/hr more than AutoZone employees. For that I quit. I no longer shop at AutoZone either.

Pros

The pay is decent. Fellow employees are good people.

Cons

Leadership is lacking where it concerns its lower paid employee. The culture is paid lip service and is not effective. When actual help is needed, there seems to be a lot of brushing the problem under a rug and forgetting about it until it blows up. Then damage control and making the employee look to be the “real” problem. There seems to be a rot somewhere and there isn’t one deed that is able to be pinpointed that would be the cause.
