Autodesk Barcelona

Pros

- The product: Autodesk is the leader in the Architecture and design software industry, and everyone knows about it, which it makes relatively easy to sell and pitch - The team: you got to work with nice and friendly people, the Barcelona office has a very young vibe which it makes going to work every day very pleasant - Salaries are ok for Barcelona, but quite under the standards for a SaaS business - Office space is amazing, right in front of the beach, with some amazing views of the Mediterranean sea

Cons

- Commissions structure: you have to work for basically all Q1 and almost Q2 without a clear target, targets are usually ready in May/June which it makes selling quite hard with no direction and no clear numbers - Upper management is ok, entry managers are usually quite unexperienced and with no focus in their own employees development - Development: if you're looking to make a strong career look somewhere else. The Barcelona office is basically an inside sales machine (with a call center feeling), with few career progression opportunities

Pros

- Great work-life balance - Flexible work hours - Competitive salary - Ability to work remotely - Great people - Autodesk has some of the nicest people I've ever met. - Meaningful work - You truly feel like the work you do matters. The company is involved in so many industries, and you know that your work can make a difference. - Global company - Autodesk has offices all over the world - Respectful work environment - People are polite and eager to come to the office. You can make friends for life.

Cons

- Silos between divisions and teams hinder meaningful change - Very large company, at times it's slow to adapt - Frequent re-orgs and restructures lead to instability and confusion - Your success in the org depends on a great manager - Lots of lateral growth, but very little vertical growth available. It is hard to get a promotion and grow your career due to the number of people at the top.

Pros

Autodesk is a fantastic place to work - employees are treated well, great health benefits and bonuses, and other great perks, and the people are great. Great work-life balance.

Cons

No job security - lots of random reorgs and layoffs.
