Pros

Pay plan...before it changed---good benefits---flexibility of benefits good---local management very supportive--flexible work schedule--constantly increasing the price of the product to equal our perceived value

Cons

Lack of organizational stability---total moral ineptness of customer base (car dealers)--very shady regional leadership (at the time) changes have been made since then

Pros

There are great products in their core business (Used Car Advertising). Pay can be very good in Sales. There are many very good employees and managers. Recovering from a reputation of greed with customers by concentrating on service and holding the line on rate increases.

Cons

Rather than concentrate on their core business and ways to improve it and increase revenues there, they concentrate on moving into new areas where they seemed destined to fail (every time). Very political structure within the overly extensive middle management ranks. There is a whole lot of CYA going on. Butt kissing is valued more than ideas and dissent is not tolerated.

Too many management layers

Pros

Company reputation was great (at one time), and they made excellent efforts to bring salaries in line with industry norms, particularly if employee was underpaid when hired. Decent benefits and individual managers/supervisors were generous when it came to needing personal time off.

Cons

Many changes in management and restructuring in attempts to flatten chain of command only resulted in creating more layers. Too many meetings were required before any project could begin, and then the pressure was on to complete them by original deadlines. Often, when the approval was finally given and all parties signed off, the need at the customer level was no longer urgent -- or -- business priorities changed and the project was dropped completely.
