      Horrendous working conditions

      Competitive pay, union, overtime available

      Cons

      The schedule for nurses and aides is 4 on, 2 off. Facility is understaffed and staff to patient ratio is not adequate for the acuity of the residents. Facility accepts patients that they are not able to care for. Management does not take action on reports of racial and sexual harassment. Abuse is tolerated. The company pinches every penny they can. Staff turnover is abysmally high. There is a lack of teamwork and nurses and aides don’t work together. This place really is scary to work at and to stay in.

      Beautiful, clean facility. CNAs are great.

      Cons

      Poor staffing- several times had no nursing relief show up and had to stay. Unrealistic workload for med nurse-often had to stay late to process and implement orders (sometimes 15 per shift)and document. Frequent interuptions from therapy, answering phones, visitors asking questions. Ratio is 15 high acuity residents to one nurse that does all meds, treatments, orders, assessment, and daily updates to MD.

      Pros

      -Union so you get fair raises annually -Provides many opportunities to test your skills -4 on 2 off schedule for rotating weekends

      Cons

      -Constantly understaffed to the point that you are always at or above patient ratios -Full-time requires working 4 on 2 off so now set weekends -Made to do some questionable things that made me fear for my license -Several CNAs were prone to calling out for petty reasons
