It is a close knit community. There aren't any layers of management between the entry level position and the Directors

Cons

Working on Accenture Engagements can be a pain. You don't feel like a peer.

Pros

This company offers interesting client engagements involving Microsoft technologies. There's consultants here with deep, .NET skills. When one is on the bench, salary remains the same, and one gets opportunity to study for certifications!

Cons

Vacation time and personal time is the usual two weeks/ per year the first two years, and three weeks the third year and after. Only one optional holiday.

Pros

Avanade is a Microsoft shop and pushes all of it's employees to become certified in Microsoft Products and Services. Good place to get certified.

Cons

Most projects are subcontracted out from Accenture and Avanade has very little direct business. This means most projects are managed by Accenture and there is little career growth towards managing projects.
