Pros

- You will get lot of Microsoft related training, with two weeks of paid annual training time - Great for new graduates to absorb new techs and growth - You will get travel cash back points from hotel, rental car or airlines (not from company itself) if you like travel

Cons

- Salary is below market average - You are obligate to go with any client if company send you to, you may end up with bad/terrible client that layout you off and you will have a bad review - Annual managers review is a mystery spot, any of your project manger can jump up and rumbles something then your year review is dead for promotion - You will be ready for political fights in certain clients or even within your team, group, bear with blame and prepare your resume for next

Great company for graduates

Pros

Great job for young ambitious people having little experience and unclear career goals. The company is fixated on receiving Microsoft certificates, some of them you’ll never use in real life. You can grow up professionally quickly, learn best practices and techniques, apply your skills in varIety of projects, clients and cultures.

Cons

At some point, when you feel yourself an established engineer, permanent requirements to advance your skills and take more exams become annoying. You might be assigned to a nasty project or have to travel far away of your home. You don’t feel yourself independent any more and at some point have to look around. Also be prepared to submit your timesheets in advance: late submission leads to punishment.

Working in an industry as fast-paced as consulting provides many opportunities for diverse experiences, but it also means our people need to be continuously learning: rotating their skills to stay market relevant. At Avanade, we help you do that. From on-the-job experience to formal training and certifications, we are committed to helping you be the best at what you do. We are also working hard to transform our own employee experience so that over time you have more options – whether that’s working in our Digital Innovation Studios or trying a different role tied to a local account, we know that travel isn’t always the right answer.
