Pros

- Pay isn't too bad compared with market averages, on the higher end (soon to be revealed why)

Cons

- Shocking place, basically a Japanese firm masked as a foreign firm. People are worked relentlessly by Japanese clients, with little to no projects working with foreign firms. - They will straight up lie to you in the interview to try and tell you that this place is much better than it is, whether this be in project scope, requirements or what they want from you as an employee. This is the experience that I have had. - Awful, basically nonexistant internal communication. Everyone is distant, uncommunicative and unresponsive. - Complete lack of transparancy in all aspects of work Please, if you are a foreigner looking for work in Japan, do yourself a favour and steer clear.

Doesn't value employees

Pros

I met some decent people and can work from home. But they also make some meetings mandatory to attend in person which do not need to be in person just saying.

Cons

- The higher-ups are untrustworthy and very performative. - They love to push promotions but won't promote you. - If you're on salary, good luck. - They have an open-door policy but no one wants to talk to you. Not even your career advisor. - Do not trust your career advisor. Mine couldn't figure out how to spell my name, ever. Every meeting and message never failed to have a different spelling and it's literally on Teams so?? it seemed on purpose. They also didn't do their job properly, they were so confused at every meeting. At that point, I was convinced they were forced to be a career advisor. - Do not trust your "buddy." This is also a position I think people don't actually want to do, they just weren't any help at all and were always busy. - Be prepared to work your behind off but still be laid off because they can't figure out numbers for the life of them. - Do not trust HR, this goes for any company, but holy cow do not trust HR at Avande. You cannot complain to HR about even the smallest issues, they'll take it as a sign you don't want to work there. They're also very pretentious. - Internship is an okay experience but do not accept their full-time offer, trust me. - There are also creeps in management (married creeps might I add). - I hope you are not young at this company, it never fails for someone to mention how young you are or call you a kid. Imagine being a grown woman being called a kid, it's very annoying and degrading.
