Pros

They provide training and certification in AX.

Cons

Company is not able to find projects and falsely promises its employees that they will be on projects soon. They kept me waiting for months to place me on a project, and then laid me off.

A good apple gone bad

Pros

Mostly smart people who are passionate about what they do. Still strong potential in some areas and countries with solid leadership in place.

Cons

Lost their entrepreneurial sprint as they have grown into a larger and bureaucratic enterprise. Way too many business units are focused on cost containment. Some business have atrocious attrition because a lack of career path growth and are out of touch with the market competitive compensation packages. HR has clearly lost their way and the loss of key people reflect that. Still can't work out how to make themselves a viable business in the direct space with so much reliance on Accenture for work.

Pros

Coworkers are intelligent and everybody is pleasant

Cons

From a sales perspective, this company lacks a cohesive sales culture entirely. There have been constant reorganizations, leaving everyone uncertain about what’s happening. The newly appointed sales executives seem to lack fundamental communication skills, a clear vision, or the authority to take decisive action. This isn’t a company that fosters success for sales professionals. Avanade is still undergoing a significant and chaotic restructuring process, and the sales leadership’s approach has been to stay silent and disengaged rather than stepping up as true leaders. It’s one of the most dysfunctional environments I’ve encountered, which is unfortunate given the potential for greatness the company once had. Recently, the executive in my division held a sales kickoff meeting, and it was disappointing, to say the least. She read monotonously from a script, peppered with bland HR-approved talking points—this was happening five months into the fiscal year, which tells you everything about the level of preparedness. The leadership team comes across as entirely unfit for their roles. Frankly, nearly everyone I know in sales is actively seeking other opportunities because this isn’t a company anyone feels proud to represent anymore.
