Pros

Interact with lots of customers and get to know the students.

Cons

Horrible management, highly disorganized. No feedback whatsoever, no opportunity for career advancement or growth. This company has a tendency to increase your job responsibilities but does not increase your pay. They promise 6 month reviews but never do them and they are not willing to increase pay.

Pros

Amazing work-life balance, amazing product, amazing mission. Fairly easy job if you can sell, teach others to sell, and work with a small team.

Cons

Senior leadership isn't very organized - not always the smartest business decisions and even if they are smart ideas they aren't executed to the standards of other big beauty business companies.

Pros

Great Eco-concious company Environmental responsibility is taken seriously Aveda does a lot of charity work Regular employees get 8 hours paid to do charity work a year Organic cafe on site Great benefits for regular full-time employees Generous discount for regular employees Contract employees have access to company store which contains discounted product On-site daycare Contract employees given computer to use which all programs needed

Cons

Projects get bogged down with long meetings in which nothing is accomplished Communication between teams is not good Contract employees are not given information in a timely manner Promises on work schedules for contract employees are not kept Freelancers/Contract employees are not allowed to work from home Contract employees are expected to work long hours but not get paid for all of them Budgets are not always planned well No one takes accountability for mistakes - like to point fingers at others If you are not liked by management you will not be promoted no matter how well you do your job If you are contract you are not considered part of the team - some days no one talks to you at all and you are not allowed to have any conversations with anyone you pass in the hallway
