Pros

Enjoyed working at Aviture! The environment when at the headquarters was energetic and productive. They provide a snack closet, 10 cents drinks, free beer, and a free meal on Friday's. Exactly what you would expect from an up and coming tech company. Benefits were quite amazing as well for being a startup company, like the cost of health insurance being covered.

Cons

Although I enjoyed my time at Aviture, I was subcontracted out to another company for most of my time. This other company did not follow the values of Aviture, and Aviture knew this. Many of the employees that were subcontract over there found themselves in a tight spot. Aviture ensured that they had our backs and were trying to get us back to headquarters, yet it never really felt like that. At the end, I was hoping that if I put my time into this sub, I would had a chance to be full time at the main office. Sadly, I never got that opportunity.

Pros

Almost too many to list. Relaxed work environment, freedom to organize workspace as desired, free choice of laptop upon hire and every 2 years, free snacks and 10 cent drinks, lunch every friday, free beer, excellent benefits, excellent pay, paid trip every year to conference of your own choosing, company trips, flexible work schedule

Cons

Some employees working on outside contracts are required to work offsite. Those employees probably don't feel a part of Aviture and sometimes can feel forgotten, especially when it is for long periods of time. There are a few dominant personalities among the engineers who seem to have a hand in most technical decisions made in the company. The "optional" coaching program meant to foster professional growth sometimes feels more like a counseling session.
