Business Outlook
Pros
One of the last companies to offer a pension plan to all employees. Strong on Diversity and continued education. this company does invest in its people and the communities that they operate in. This is a very financially sound company which manages its bottom line almost to a fault.
Cons
operating systems are old and often home grown, since the company grows more by acquisition than organically, business units do not operate well with each other. there is a strong perception that strategic planning is often marred by executive pay plans rather that what may be best for the company going forward. Also, in eight years I saw very little room for personal advancement.
