Pros

Avnet as a company is great. However it depends on the practice you work in and your manager. The pay is fine but you can negotiate based on how many offers you have. If they do not find qualified applicants they will meet your salary expectations.

Cons

Standard consulting company that wants to pay out your bonus every year. So if you leave 1 month before your bonus is due you get nothing and this is really an issue. Other firms have a quarterly schedule that pay some bonus and the year end bonus is a bigger chunk.

Great people but vision kept was inconsistent

Pros

HQ and management teams fostered a positive message and unified company vision. Very good communication from the upper management. Salary and bennies were good but got worse with Obamacare,etc. Pension plan but 401k lacking.

Cons

Healthcare rates were high. Every year there was a new strategy. Struggled to run the division at a profit.
