Pros

Axonify had a great reputation as one of the Best places to work and consistently won awards year after year recognizing that - a great product, world leading customers, great leadership, great culture and a high standard of work. The few people that haven't been fired this year by the PE firm that took over are trying their best to stay positive, but everyone is miserable and pretending not to be so they don't get fired too.

Cons

The last year at Axonify has been a disaster. Since firing the founders that everyone loved, and firing pretty much the entire leadership team for no reason anyone can understand, the PE firm has installed a bunch of people with clear conflicts of interest to run the business. Mass firings, complete lack of strategy or direction, no budgets for anything; the list goes on. The company is a mess. What used to be a company where people were trusted has devolved into a backstabbing, fear based environment. The new CEO ignores most people, denigrates others including Executives behind their backs and is a complete puppet for the PE firm. The new product they are pinning their hopes on is a joke. This company is cooked.

A company with an identity crisis

Pros

Nice office space and mostly decent co-workers. Decent paramedical benefits.

Cons

- No product/market fit - Extremely low pay compared to other roles within the same market - No clear strategy or direction - Product is years behind the market - Average salary and next to no career development opportunities - No alignment between middle managers, senior leaders and the board - Declining results for almost 2 years now - Constant threat of layoffs - High employee turnover (nearly every week and they don't backfill roles, allowing the rest of the teams to burnout). - Frequent gaslighting from leadership - No career paths - Used to be a people-first company that openly celebrated successes, big or small, but now there is next to no recognition, employees feel like numbers that get cut when things get rough.

Career Growth, Supportive Leadership, and Exceptional Benefits

Pros

I have been provided with meaningful opportunities to grow my career. I began as an IC, moved into a management role within my original team, and later transitioned into a management position in another department. Each move allowed me to expand my skills, gain new experience, and explore different parts of the business all while leveraging the existing relationships I had built and developing new relationships. This has given me an excellent sense of the business and how I can strategically make an impact. I’ve also been able to use my professional growth spending account to further develop my capabilities through training and courses that align with my goals. I’m fortunate to have a leader who genuinely cares about my interests and supports me in trying new things, even when those things don't align with my day-to-day job. That level of trust and encouragement has played a big role in my professional development. The benefits at Axonify are also a major highlight. We have a strong overall benefits package and a generous PTO policy that includes vacation, personal days, and an exceptional bereavement policy that doesn’t restrict who qualifies as a loss. We also have access to several other programs that that allow us connect our personal interests and values with our work (ie. Axonify Care Program, Volunteer Time Off etc.).

Cons

The pace of change can be fast, and priorities may shift quickly. As the company changes, some processes are still being defined, which can create ambiguity at times which can be hard for some.
