Pros

Not working at Azenta Pay day Vacation

Cons

I can't think of a worse place to work than Azenta. It's toxic, vile, bullying culture has driven away talented employees. Don't believe what they tell you during the interviews... Check former employees, ask why they left? Very high staff turnover and poor customer retention. This place has one incompetent manager backing up another incompetent manager. Pointless discussions about the same topics. Azents lacks credibility and ethics.. as long as the numbers look good to the stakeholders no one cares. Not a single employee displays any enthusiam or enjoyment in what they do. Any new employees joining, the 'can-do' attitudeis knocked out of you so quickly before you can start a project. No one will help or advice you at Azenta, everyone is too busy covering and protecting themselves. Deny all knowledge of anything and sweep under the rug... High blame culture and no accounatbility. It's a modern day sweat shop - pay too poor to even comment. No training or career progression. You are not allowed to have a voice.. really really really do not look at Azenta, don't even apply...

Pros

There are a few good people left. Coffee and fruit provided.

Cons

Back in November they restructured the company and transferred my department so we lost the best leader we'd ever had. They didn't find him a new post, they just let him go. No thought of how t impact the hundreds of people who depend on him daily. They installed someone who is seriously lacking in personality and capability and it just feels like a boys club where you get made a leader if you're friends with the right people, not if you do a good job. They keep taking people from customer service. We are now 40% down on numbers compared to 18 months ago and our customers are feeling it. Nobody high up cares - all they want is for people to work longer hours, take fewer breaks and get the emails replied to and calls taken. This isn't a company going places. It's stagnant, negative and lots are just running out the clock. I'm actively looking for a new job and so are many of my colleagues. But for every 2 of us who leave, they'll only allow one backfill so it's going to be harder for those left behind. Now nobody trusts the leadership or HR. People are scared to talk in case they are next on the block. I regret taking this job. There is now no progression or security.

Pros

The benefits are ok and some colleagues were nice.

Cons

New CEO who's smooth talking but not listening. Overall senior management doesn't listen at all. In the time I was there, many people left or were let go. At least about 30 people in Manchester alone. Doesn't give newbies jobsecurity. AVOID
