GREAT PLACE TO WORK

Pros

I work directly with upper level management and C-suite, and I cannot stress how amazing our leadership team is. This is an environment where leadership empowers their employees and actually trusts them to execute the job. Our CEO and leadership also really care about their employees and value them, you don’t just feel like a cog in the wheel. People who work here are really passionate about what we do and really have the growth mindset we need as we scale. Hands down best environment I’ve ever worked at from a cultural, growth and career standpoint. Also compensation here is really competitive.

Cons

Everyone’s already mentioned the 401K but that’s really about it. I think a lot of organizations can really learn how from Azul on how to create a great cultural environment and how they treat their employees.

Pros

Great leadership. Very open and transparent. Employees are valued and appreciated, great opportunities to contribute at every level.

Cons

Sunnyvale location is not good for public transit. It's possible to take caltrain, switch to light rail, then walk. You might as well drive which is never pleasant in the bay area. Best to live near the office if possible.

Pros

Lots of toys to play with. It is rare to be able to work with so much cool technology in one place. Managed runtimes, JIT compilers and optimizers, garbage collectors, kernel modules, profilers, etc.

Cons

Smaller company, works and feels like early stage internally. Much of the company stuff you'd find in a 200+ person company is not there (HR, process, etc.).
