      Solid dependable company that needs to adapt to the changing markets

      Pros

      Good brand in certain circles. They have some great people, some clever tooling and a wealth of experience

      Cons

      Trading on glories past a bit, some of the work practices were bafflingly anachronistic and they struggled with being more commercially agile and 'sales centric'. Given their heritage understandable but there are times when building the most robust over-engineered solution to a problem isn't needed and increasingly isn't cost viable in todays economy

      Interesting and varied opportunities working on exciting projects

      Pros

      Some very interesting opportunities working on some high profile opportunities especially within the government space. Some amazing, and some fantastic people, with a wide range of technical knowledge, all willing to collaborate if asked.

      Cons

      During my time I witnessed the hiring and firing (in terms of enforced redundancies) in batches. I understand that this is based on projects starting and stopping coupled with revenue streams, but bringing in so many new faces at one time overloaded the offices, and added complexity for new employees to find the initial assignment. I feel this statement is important, but harsh on what I believe to be fundamentally a good company.

      A with many large organisations that have been around a long time, and as a result have lots of legacy code and practices that are slowly modernising.
