      Pros

      Great co-workers, mission-oriented, better than average benefits, a few great leaders, interesting work if you are into defense, depending on where you sit and who you are; career development can be great

      Cons

      highly political, it's all about who you know, company strategy is a mess, currently very unstable environment, little follow-through on employee issues, (attitude surveys, etc) , most employees receive little development

      Pros

      Pay is good, benifits are good. There have been many good people

      Cons

      Due to a blind effort to have a facility in Michigan at any cost they are laying off many of the experienced people that made the company (as United Defense) great. There was an extreamly loyal workforce there but that is all lost. You can't find anyone who is happy to work there.

      Big company = big responsibilities (and opportunities) Benefits are very good Coworkers are great Work / life balance is very good Love the 9/80s

      Cons

      Too big sometimes = bureaucracy Compensation / Promotions doesn't always reflect performance Needs to work on retaining younger talent Defense industry is down-sizing Too decentralized (BAE as a whole)
