Good company, but could be better

Pros

Stable company. Good work-life balance (depending on your manager). Good benefits. Modern headquarters.

Cons

Too political. Impossible to get promoted above middle management, unless you're on the "favorites list." Slow moving / slow at making decisions. Say they don't lay people off, but do so too frequently. Constantly reorganizing.

Pros

Great culture with plenty of opportunity to develop a career. Great benefits and culture. Offices around the world - plenty of opportunity to travel.

Cons

Although it is the largest chemical company in the world, few people outside of the organization are aware of its existence. Small footprint in Canada but huge player globally, especially US.
