Pros
Coworkers are great, lower management is usually great, upper management is similar to most (some good, some bad) Salary is a little above average. 401K matches up to 6% and there is a bonus program based on personal merit. Unique to the MDP we move 1 per year for 3 years then get a steady full-time job. During the 3 year program BD pays $5000 per year (net) + pays for all moving expenses to rotate to new site. The opportunity to be in this program is amazing, allowing me to see 3+ BD sites in 3 years
Cons
While most other benefits are great. BD's Health Benefits through Aetna are atrocious. For a PPO plan as a mid-20's year old single male I pay over $150/mo and have a max OOP of like $4k/year and there are hardly and co-pays for anything. My fiance works at a small bank locally and makes a fraction of what I do and her benefits are twice what BD's are for an Engineer.
