Worst Place! Beware

Pros

As hardly anyone is tech savvy, you can pass your time doing nothing or spend time in higher study. They will not even know. If you can take the stress of talking your idiotic boss ( in most cases), then you should be good. In other words, if your IQ is more than 90, BD is not for you. For the average IQ folks, salary is good if you can negotiate.

Cons

Extreme level of politics, hierarchy is upside down. Higher you go in the chain, lower will be the IQ of people. But, they are also highly corrupt. Even the college projects are better managed than BD projects. If you are intelligent, you will get a taste of their professionalism during interview only. If you did not notice that, then this is a perfect match for you.

Pros

-Future of company looks great. Products are in high demand - some on backorder - can't make enough product. -Company is starting to invest in future to satisfy growing demand. -No shortage of work and lots of places to shine - room for improvement everywhere you look no matter what your discipline. -Local (Sumter) leadership has changed for the better since I've started. -New local leadership is working hard to turn things around.

Cons

-Overly Bureaucratic. Sr. Leadership is extremely hierarchical and every level of Sr. leadership thinks their way is the best way and tries to enforce that without taking into account what the people below (or lateral) to them want. So, things change rapidly but not necessarily for the better. Sr. Leadership tries to micro-manage 2-4 levels below them - focusing on day-to-day operations. -Sr. Leadership is very near-sighted. Many systems & processes remain quite archaic and inefficient and they're reluctant to invest in improving them but they're highly involved in day-to-day operations.
