Pros

Good pay and benefits, meaningful mission (even though you will never hear anyone talk about patient impact)

Cons

Terrible culture. Profits over people mentality. Tons of turnover. Lack of direct communication. Zero focus on career development and retention. Lots of ego. Return-to-office mandate and bonuses don’t pay out fully despite good performance reviews and company hitting goals. Management by fear permeates. Work-life balance is non-existent. BD keeps taking away benefits and expects absolute loyalty without giving any in return.

Pros

Salary is on the higher end for industry

Cons

Nearly everything is bad. Worst management I’ve experienced in my career by far. Not just in the group but across the board. Re-orgs happen so often to prevent promotions. If they shift you around you basically start over. Many notice a trend of promotions only going to friends or people who’ve been reported to HR for issues. HR knows all this so don’t bother going to them. Also working with the PMO group might be the most toxic of it all. The worst project management that you can hardly even call it project management. The worst people skills from that team. They always layoff people but never the ones who are creating this toxic culture. They keep those because guess what, this toxic people beat everyone else down and management sees that as a win for getting stuff done. Instead of seeing how miserable everyone is afterwards. Nobody is proud to complete a project. Just relief that we will get a break from being harassed by the PM.

Pros

a Wealth of Benefits: PTO, counseling, Insurance, etc. competitive pay structure Stable schedule

Cons

Taking time off can be needlessly convoluted, especially around holidays It *feels* like all levels of management are in discord and regularly fail to communicate to base level operators. Work life balance is the worst when compared with other shift schedules. Career Advancement opportunities feel less accessible for night shift. On the job training was a poor experience. We rarely have the resources we need to work, i.e. clean smocks to work in the cleanrooms with every week,
