      Pros

      Big corporate, diversified product portfolio, business process, smart and intelligent management

      Cons

      so slow, orthodox, hierarchical, bureaucratic, and surprisingly legacy BD people love this kind of culture. People in BD like travelling, lots of meetings with lots of people, no decision, no work, no action, no follow up, just talk and talk, drag and drag.

      Vacation, benefits are quite good

      Cons

      Everything related to working at the San Jose site. Most people are here because someone more incompetent was too insecure to hire someone smarter than them. There is particular marketing manager who just flies business class and talks about what other people do, and claims as own...they have now decided its time to say goodbye to the most recent site leader...who was not much of one as she only interacted with those who reported to her...no loss!

      Pros

      This company has some very smart and talented people who work on very challenging problems facing health care. BD excels at offering a portfolio of quality products to it's customers.

      Cons

      This is the most process oriented and corporate environment I have ever worked in. Lots of back stabbing, brown nosing, and back channeling. Poor communication across the organization. Very bad management especially at the executive level. No leadership or vision.
