      Misleading Recruitment; toxic/blame culture

      Absolutely none. Waste of my life.

      Cons

      Recruiters and Partners lied about training opportunities, wages, and development during interview phase. "Throw under the bus" culture, with no accountability for Directors or Partners. Hostile work environment condoned by HR. HR ignored harassment complaints from several team members regarding a Director, and even helped cover up for it. Accessed my 401(k) over a month after separation. Public accounting is hard, but you can do better than BDO. Know your worth and go somewhere that is willing to train and has integrity as a core value.

      Very short staffed and no learning. Horrible management.

      Mid size, smaller clients. Flex plans available if granted.

      Cons

      1. No manager or seniors to teach and support. You either self learn or learn form other staff. 2. No trainings. Only national training which are pre- recorded. 3. Lack of empathy. 4. No sick days. 5. No room to grow. Growth is stagnant as there is no focus on it at all. 6. Lack of regular feedbacks. No way to improve if no feedbacks are given. 7. Merger with new regional company has added pressure on existing employees. 8. No focus on well-being or mental health. Management does not care if you worked overtime on deadline weeks. No extra time off to comp for overworked weeks before deadline. 9. No courtesy lunch or dinners provided during busy season. 10. Lack of team development. 11. Blame culture. 13. No 401k match for first year. 14. No profit sharing or bonus. 15. No transparency on pay scale or bonus if offered.
