Pros

In the beginning, it all seems BDP is the place to land that dream job. BDP is a good company but needs immediate overhaul.

Cons

Management teams are bunch of unprofessionals needing adequate training on how to treat their subordinates. I worked at BDP for two months and I must confessed that the management team runs the place like a military camp. If you are part of the click, you have nothing to worry about and your job is secured. Team lead in Houston and the strategic manager think in box not outside the box. They both work together to weed out any employee they dislike for whatever reasons and they will lie to get you terminated.

Pros

Hours weren't too bad. Great way to learn about logistics. It was an entry level office job. Not much else great about it. Just make sure to get out of here as soon as you get enough experience because this is a job for people who don't have much else going on for them.

Cons

This company does not like to train new hires and makes them feel like they are a burden to progress and then if you have too many questions they get upset with you. Management does not know how to manage and allows employees to bully each other and speak unprofessionally. Going to HR is a joke because they are just as clueless or close friends (or family) with management. It's a high stressful environment but not because of the work you would be doing but because of co-workers. They make you feel uncomfortable and do not treat others with integrity or respect (let alone their own jobs). It's not a good place to be.

Pros

Room for advancement in the company. Generally requires being noticed for the right reasons (being visible, hard work, accurate and efficient output) but being aligned with some powerful people in the company can come in handy (or being family - see Cons). Good to see some C level talent being brought in from outside the company. Good place to learn the industry, once you can see beyond the data entry. Quality HR personnel with best interest of employees (as well as the company, of course) in mind.

Cons

Cronyism at its finest. Family company with friends, neighbors, and their bookmaker at various levels of the hierarchy. Lacking knowledge sharing among divisions. Antiquated systems and training practices. Inconsistent processes around the company. Managers and Team Leads are too engulfed in transactional processes to truly manage their business. Pay scale and use of job titles also inconsistent throughout the company.
