There is not a lot of room for moving up as most open positions are filled externally. There has been a lot of change over the past few years, and I believe it could eventually be a good thing. Unfortunately, it has primarily brought a lot of toxicity and chaos so far and the culture of BECU seems to have fallen by the wayside.

If you are not part of the BIPOC community and especially if you are white, you will not be advanced in the company. Due to the new CEOs consistent messages of white privilege, you will be treated horrifically by BIPOC coworkers who will make racist remarks including insults about your culture. It's best to just move on and get a job that is focused on equity for all
