Pros

Plenty of members money to spend freely on pet projects and very expensive consultants

Cons

Chaos chasing Banker Dreams. Bunch of former Bankers now run the CU. Spending members money crazily and delivering very few results. Trying to move to an innovative future that never comes. Meanwhile leaving all the legacy systems that actually run everything to atrophy and suffer.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate you offering your perspective. We recognize that large organizations can experience change in ways that feel inconsistent or unclear depending on individual roles and visibility into decision-making. Strategic investments, system modernization, and growth initiatives often happen in parallel, and their impact may not always be immediately visible at every level. We also understand that perceptions around priorities and outcomes can vary. Our focus remains on serving members effectively while continuing to evolve the organization in a responsible and sustainable way. Thank you again for sharing your input — feedback like this is helpful in understanding how different experiences can shape perspectives across the organization.

Decent Company, Bad Culture

Pros

Great benefits, encourages decent relationships with and treatment of the customer, feels like a neighborhood establishment. Even though there are obviously internal goals that encourage loans be provided to people who arguably often shouldn’t be getting them, it’s approached in a decent way by the company

Cons

Very liberal culture, to the point where anyone even barely outside of it feels totally and completely ostracized - and it goes up to the very top levels of management. Be prepared to endure progressive messages in every direction of the company. You have to be ok with working a couple Saturdays per month.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and balanced review. We appreciate you highlighting both what’s working well and what has felt challenging in your experience. It’s great to hear that the benefits, customer-focused approach, and neighborhood feel have been positives for you. Creating meaningful relationships with members and supporting their financial well-being is core to who we are, and we’re glad that comes through in your day-to-day experience. While we aim to foster an inclusive environment, that should mean inclusion for everyone — not just those who fit a particular mold. Your perspective is an important reminder that belonging must be broad, genuine, and respectful of differences. Thank you again for sharing your honest feedback. Your insights help us reflect on how we can continue supporting employees while ensuring our culture truly welcomes a range of perspectives and experiences.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It’s good to hear that the job feels manageable and that the benefits are meeting your needs—those are meaningful aspects of the overall employee experience. At the same time, your concerns about limited mobility and favoritism are important and taken seriously. Feeling like growth opportunities are out of reach or influenced by anything other than merit can be deeply discouraging. Everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and given a fair chance to develop their career based on their strengths and contributions. We truly appreciate your honesty. Feedback like yours helps shine a light on where we need to do better. Rest assured that hiring decisions are based on inclusiveness and equitability for all employees.
