      Company In Decline, Becoming Corporate and Profit Driven

      -Good Benefits and Time Off

      Cons

      -Pay not competitive in the same market as other financial institutions -No training to staff, refuses to train staff in technologies regardless of criticality -Ran by people that do not have proper credentials, IT Departments ran by people without IT Degrees -Most of the IT Staff in senior positions are on their "honeymoon" phase on their way to retirement -Over the course of a year, a bunch of middle managers were hired, but no actual staff that gets the job done

      Pros

      Great benefits and supportive learning environment.

      Cons

      Raises are 1%-3% a year which forces you to look for higher paying position to keep up with cost of living. Job is 8-6 and many Saturday shifts.

      A Not-For-Profit Becoming More Corporate-Like By The Day.

      Pros

      Since it's a relatively small organization, your work experience here will vary tremendously on which supervisor that you end up. Pay is pretty average but they do have a good bonus plan. The organization is growing rapidly...but some BECU and Boeing employees question why there is the need to grow so large. The workplace feel used to be more of a non-profit but it is quickly becoming another corporate America. They have a pretty generous bonus program in lieu of stock options like a regular company would have.

      Cons

      Career growth is pretty stagnant, even they do offer some training budget. The cross-department communication is poor to say the least. The only way that working at BECU really makes sense for the career-minded individual is by staying for the long haul and take advantage of their pension plan that starts to kick in after five years of service.
