Pros

Good benefits, decent pay, good culture overall. Please continue to emphasize merit for selection of positions.

Cons

Terrible tech outages and constraints. So much so that it is the biggest factor questioning my loyalty to company as it causes such pain in the day to day. Additionally it's clear that several employees hired recently in higher paying spaces within the company are not pulling their weight and taking advantage of a largely trusting culture. This leads to the extra work being borne by those that do want to deploy solutions effectively and have earned that trust over years of performance.

Pros

The culture of the company was really nice and easy to work in

Cons

management could be better, and the turnover was really bad, took a lot of time training instead of focusing on my job.

Pros

The company initially had a strong focus on serving the community, but that appears to be shifting. The new management, predominantly from banking backgrounds, seems to be steering the policies in a different direction. BECU has an excellent work culture and is generally a fantastic place to be employed—unless you have a disability or health issues, in which case the experience isn't nearly as positive.

Cons

At my workplace, there's no designated sick leave, which means if I fall ill, I have to dip into my personal time off. This policy seriously undermines any notion of work-life balance. To make matters worse, navigating the disability leave management system is a nightmare. The company responsible for managing this aspect seems unaccountable for how they handle things, creating a prolonged and stressful process for me to get my disability pay. When I try to voice my concerns to management or the leave department, I'm told that I'm simply misunderstanding the situation because I'm unwell and should actually be grateful that we're covered by the leave management company. BECU is inclusive for their membership not their employees.
