      Changing to a big Bank environments

      Pros

      BECU has exceptional benefits and really cares about doing the right thing for the members. BECU does a good job of hiring within and developing its employees.

      Cons

      BECU is starting to become more of a corporate bank work environment, pushing too much sales and hiring Director and above from big banks.

      OK, but middle management heavy

      Pros

      Pension after 5 years, remote work for many back office positions, trying hard to be community minded.

      Cons

      There is so much middle management, projects and advancement dies in the bureaucracy. The internal tech and OS is abysmal and embarrassing for a company of this size. Internal promotion does not happen. It’s all outside hires.
