      Pros

      Benefits at this company were above average compared to most mortgage companies.

      Cons

      Poor management communication. Income is low compared to other mortgage companies. Requirements to complete converted apps/fundings and touch customers within the parameters was unachievable in timeframe provided. Difficult to make a living in this position. Opportunity to grow is provided although, many of the MLO positions are given to outside applicants.

      Pros

      Love working at this company! I think all companies have their pros & cons, but at BECU, I think the pros outnumber the cons. Truly, the people who work alongside me everyday at BECU make it a special place. The team I work in is all remote, which has created a much better work-life balance for me. BECU's core values and continual DE&I initiatives are also some things that I enjoy most about working here. I can't see myself leaving this place ever, but if I do, I know it's going to be so hard to leave because of how great it is.

      Cons

      As a company grows, bureaucracy builds and there are more siloed groups throughout the company that don't know what the rest of the company is doing. I think that's been happening here at BECU, and leadership is well aware of it. They're doing their best to make it better, and that's what matters. There is also the Digital Transformation happening, which hasn't been all too clear to employees on how it's going to affect them and their teams. However, everything is still high-level, so that's likely why.
