Values their Members. Culture. Really enjoy the people who work there.

Cons

Becoming robotic. Feels like you can get fired at any moment. Using 50% of income to pay rent.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It means a lot that you highlighted how much you value the culture, the members, and the people you work alongside — those connections and shared values are at the heart of what makes a workplace meaningful, and we’re glad they’ve been a bright spot for you. At the same time, we hear the weight behind your concerns. Feeling like the work is becoming increasingly robotic or that job security is uncertain can create real stress, and no one should feel that way in an environment where they’re trying to contribute and grow. Even if perspectives differ on what’s feasible or where the priorities lie, your message is a reminder that investing in people — their development, their security, their well-being — is essential for long-term trust and success. Thank you again for sharing your voice. Feedback like yours helps surface the places where employees feel the gap between intention and reality, and that’s invaluable for moving forward in a healthier, more supportive way.

Decent Company, Bad Culture

Pros

Great benefits, encourages decent relationships with and treatment of the customer, feels like a neighborhood establishment. Even though there are obviously internal goals that encourage loans be provided to people who arguably often shouldn’t be getting them, it’s approached in a decent way by the company

Cons

Very liberal culture, to the point where anyone even barely outside of it feels totally and completely ostracized - and it goes up to the very top levels of management. Be prepared to endure progressive messages in every direction of the company. You have to be ok with working a couple Saturdays per month.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and balanced review. We appreciate you highlighting both what’s working well and what has felt challenging in your experience. It’s great to hear that the benefits, customer-focused approach, and neighborhood feel have been positives for you. Creating meaningful relationships with members and supporting their financial well-being is core to who we are, and we’re glad that comes through in your day-to-day experience. While we aim to foster an inclusive environment, that should mean inclusion for everyone — not just those who fit a particular mold. Your perspective is an important reminder that belonging must be broad, genuine, and respectful of differences. Thank you again for sharing your honest feedback. Your insights help us reflect on how we can continue supporting employees while ensuring our culture truly welcomes a range of perspectives and experiences.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts so openly. It’s encouraging to hear that you feel the company genuinely wants to do the right thing — that intention matters, and it’s an important foundation to build on. At the same time, we understand your frustration with the challenges that arise when experience or skill gaps make it hard to move work forward smoothly. Your perspective is a helpful reminder that strong intentions need to be paired with the right support, development, and clarity at every level of the organization. We appreciate you taking the time to share this, and your feedback helps highlight where continued investment in people and processes is needed.
