Terrible culture, incredible lack of diversity - not a single woman in there executive management team, share scheme is incredibly opaque and not really an incentive, all talk of innovation or anything progressive is fluff for market analysts and not meaningful
Its pretty straight forward. You make a percentage of what you earn in brokerage. The job itself isnt that hard and you can definitely make a lot of money. But its tough to break in as a young kid unless you know some people at banks / funds that are trading. It can take a years to develop relationships if youre just getting into the business, and most desks dont pay non-brokers a ton of money. A lot of the older guys dont seem to want to give up costumers to younger guys so it can be tough to break through.
Cons
The whole payment structure when it comes to bonuses is pretty bizarre compared to the rest of the street.
Benefits seem pretty average
